Aqua Max Vacuum Breaker

The vacuum breaker lets air into your solar panel plumbing when the pump switches off, allowing the panels to drain back to the pool by gravity. Without a vacuum breaker, the water stays trapped in the roof panels — risking freeze damage in winter, excessive heat buildup in summer, and unnecessary weight stress on the roof and plumbing. Install at the highest point in your solar circuit for proper drainage.

How It Works

When the pump runs, water pressure holds the valve closed. When the pump stops, the pressure drops, the valve opens, and air enters the system. This breaks the vacuum that would otherwise keep water locked in the panels. The panels and roof plumbing drain back to the pool automatically.
