The Aqua Max 8 wheel pool vacuum head is a manual sweeper for cleaning dirt, sand and settled debris off your pool floor. It rolls on eight wheels, so it glides smoothly across the surface while keeping steady suction. Because the body is made in hinged sections, it also follows the curve where the floor meets the walls.

How to Vacuum Your Pool

1. First, clip the vacuum head onto your telescopic pole.
2. Next, attach one end of the vacuum hose to the head and lower it into the pool.
3. Then fill the hose with water to push out all the air. For example, hold the open end against a return jet until bubbles stop coming out of the head.
4. After that, connect the full hose to the suction point in your weir, using a weir vac lid if you have one.
5. Finally, sweep the floor slowly in long, overlapping rows, because moving too fast stirs up dirt instead of picking it up.

Filter or Waste?

For light dirt, vacuum on the Filter setting, so the water returns clean to the pool. However, for heavy dirt, algae or fine sand, set your multiport valve to Waste instead. That way, the dirt goes straight out and doesn’t clog your filter. Afterwards, top up the pool water, because vacuuming to waste lowers the level.
