Aqua Max 1.1kW Pool Pump Impeller

This Aqua Max 1.1kW pool pump impeller is a universal replacement that fits most standard 1.1kW pool pumps, not only Aqua Max models. The impeller is the part that spins on the motor shaft, and its vanes push water through your filter and back into the pool. 1.1kW pumps usually run larger pools, or systems that also feed a suction cleaner, solar heating or water features.

Signs Your Impeller Needs Replacing

A worn, clogged or cracked impeller lets the motor keep running while the flow drops away. Watch out for:

• Water features or solar panels receive less flow
• The suction cleaner struggles to climb walls
• The pump takes longer to prime
• A noticeable vibration or rattle from the wet end

In most cases, the damage comes from stones, hair clips or leaves that slip past a broken pump basket. In addition, running the pump dry can overheat the impeller and distort it.

Choosing the Right 1.1kW Pool Pump Impeller

Impellers are sized to the motor, so always check the kW rating on your pump’s label before you order. An impeller from a different size will change the flow and can overload the motor. Although this part is universal across most 1.1kW pumps, it’s worth comparing it with your old impeller first. If your pump is a different size, we also stock the 0.6kW impeller and 0.75kW impeller.

How to Replace Your 1.1kW Pool Pump Impeller

First, switch off the power at the DB and close the valves. Next, separate the motor from the pump housing and unscrew the old impeller from the shaft. Because the pump is already open, this is also the best time to fit a new shaft seal. Finally, reassemble the pump, prime it and check for leaks.
