Aqua Max 2-Bag Sand Filter

The Aqua Max 2-Bag Sand Filter provides mechanical filtration for residential swimming pools up to 30,000 litres. Water passes through 80kg of filter sand inside the 480mm diameter tank, trapping dirt, debris, and particles down to approximately 20 microns. Clean, filtered water returns to the pool.

Recommended Pump Pairing

Pair with a 0.45kW to 0.60kW pool pump for optimal flow rate and filtration performance. Oversizing the pump pushes water through the sand bed too fast and reduces filtration quality. The Aqua Max 0.45kW pump is the ideal match for this filter.

Maintenance

Backwash when the filter pressure gauge reads 80-100kPa above the clean starting pressure, or at least once a week during swimming season. Replace filter sand every 5-7 years or when water clarity deteriorates despite regular backwashing.
