Aqua Max 5-Bag Sand Filter

The Aqua Max 5-Bag Sand Filter provides mechanical filtration for large residential and light commercial swimming pools up to 120,000 litres. Water passes through 200kg of filter sand inside the 700mm diameter tank, trapping dirt, debris, and particles down to approximately 20 microns. The large sand bed handles high flow rates and heavy debris loads from bigger pools with extended run times.

Recommended Pump Pairing

Pair with a 1.1kW to 1.5kW pool pump for optimal flow rate and filtration performance. Oversizing the pump pushes water through the sand bed too fast and reduces filtration quality.

Maintenance

Backwash when the filter pressure gauge reads 80–100kPa above the clean starting pressure, or at least once a week during swimming season. Replace filter sand every 18–24 months or when water clarity deteriorates despite regular backwashing.
