NCS Mosaic Gel Coat Natural — Fibreglass Pool Finish

NCS mosaic gel coat in natural is a clear, unpigmented gelcoat designed specifically for sealing over mosaic tissue tiles on fibreglass pool linings. It cures to a smooth, transparent finish that lets the printed mosaic pattern show through clearly without colour distortion. This is the product you use to lock in your waterline tile bands, motifs, and decorative tissue work before filling the pool.

How Mosaic Gel Coat Works

Mosaic tissue tiles are printed sheets that become part of the fibreglass lining system. After the tissue is laid into wet clear resin on the pool surface, the mosaic gel coat goes over the top as the final protective layer. Because the gel coat is natural and unpigmented, the full colour and detail of the mosaic design remains visible underneath. The gel coat then cures to a hard, smooth, waterproof surface that protects the tissue from chemical exposure, UV degradation, and physical wear.

How to Apply

Mix the mosaic gel coat with MEKP catalyst hardener before application. Use between 1% and 3% catalyst by volume — less catalyst in hot weather and more in cold weather. Apply evenly over the cured mosaic tissue area with a brush or mohair roller. Work carefully to avoid disturbing the tissue underneath. The gel coat contains wax that rises to the surface during curing to create a tack-free finish. Allow full cure before filling the pool with water. Catalyst hardener is not included and must be purchased separately.
