Aqua Max Solar Panel Backing Sheet – Correx

The Aqua Max solar panel backing sheet is a black Correx sheet that sits between your roof and your solar pool heating panels. It gives each panel a smooth, flat surface to lie on, so rough tiles and roofing screws cannot wear it. Importantly, you must fit a backing sheet under every panel for the panel warranty to apply.

Why the Solar Panel Backing Sheet Is Essential

Solar pool panels move slightly as they heat up, cool down and fill with water. Over time, that movement rubs the panel against tile edges, screw heads and the ribs of metal sheeting. As a result, the panel can wear through and start leaking. Because this damage comes from the roof rather than the panel, the warranty only covers panels that were installed on a backing sheet.
