Aqua Max 3m EPDM Solar Panel

The Aqua Max 3m Solar Panel heats your pool water using direct sunlight — no electricity required. Pool water circulates through the EPDM rubber panel where it absorbs heat from the sun before returning to the pool. On a typical Highveld summer day, a properly sized solar panel array can raise your pool temperature by 5–10°C above ambient.

How It Works

Your existing pool pump pushes water through the solar panels (usually mounted on a north-facing roof). The black EPDM rubber absorbs solar energy and transfers it directly to the water flowing through the panel. No additional pump or controller is needed for a basic installation — a flow control valve or ball valve regulates flow through the solar circuit.

Sizing Guide

As a general rule, your total solar panel area should equal 50–100% of your pool’s surface area. Multiple 3m panels can be connected in series or parallel depending on your roof layout and plumbing configuration.
