Aqua Max 0.75kW Pool Pump Diffuser, Flange & Impeller Set

This pool pump diffuser set contains the three wet-end parts that move water through an Aqua Max 0.75kW pool pump: the diffuser, the flange and the impeller. When these parts wear or crack, your pump keeps running but pushes far less water. Replacing all three at once therefore restores the flow that your filter, pool cleaner and chlorinator rely on.

What’s in the Set

Each set includes:

• Impeller – the part that spins on the motor shaft. Its vanes throw water outwards and create the pressure that pushes water through your filter.
• Diffuser – fits over the impeller and guides the water into the pump outlet. A cracked or worn diffuser lets water slip back around the impeller, so pressure drops.
• Flange – the round plate that closes off the pump chamber at the motor end.

Signs Your Pool Pump Diffuser or Impeller Needs Replacing

Look out for these common symptoms:

• Weak return flow, even though the filter is clean
• A pool cleaner that slows down or stops moving
• Low readings on the filter pressure gauge
• Rattling or grinding noises from the pump housing
• Visible cracks or broken vanes when you open the pump

In addition, stones and debris that get past the basket can chip the impeller vanes. For that reason, check that your pump basket is intact before you fit the new parts.

Fitting Tips

First, check the rating on your pump’s motor label, because the impeller and diffuser are matched to the motor size. This pool pump diffuser set is sized for 0.75kW pumps. Next, switch off the power at the DB, close the valves and separate the motor from the pump housing. Since the wet end is already open, it’s also the ideal time to replace the pump shaft seal and the lid O-ring. Finally, reassemble everything, prime the pump and check for leaks before you leave it to run.
