Aqua Max 50mm Nylon Poly to Poly Connector

This 50mm poly to poly connector joins two lengths of poly pipe in your pool plumbing. It is made from nylon, and both ends have a ribbed fitting that pushes into 50mm poly pipe and is secured with a hose clamp. Consequently, it gives you a quick, secure and watertight joint without any glue.

When You Need a Poly to Poly Connector

• Repairing a damaged or split section of poly pipe
• Extending an existing poly line to a new pump, solar panel or water feature
• Joining two coils of poly pipe on a long underground run

Because the joint relies on clamps rather than glue, you can also take it apart later if you need to change your layout.

How to Fit It

First, cut both pipe ends square and remove any burrs. Next, slide a hose clamp over each pipe end. Then push each pipe fully over the ribs of the connector. Warming the poly pipe in hot water softens it and makes this step much easier. Finally, position the clamps over the ribbed sections and tighten them firmly. Run the pump and check the joint for leaks.

Nylon vs Standard Plastic Fittings

Nylon is tougher than standard plastic fittings, so it resists cracking when you tighten the clamps. In addition, it handles the pressure and chlorine found in pool plumbing. If you need to join poly pipe to PVC, choose the 50mm poly to PVC connector or the 40mm poly to PVC connector.
