Aqua Max Wagon Wheel Gasket — Spider Gasket Replacement

The wagon wheel gasket (also called a spider gasket) sits inside your multiport valve and seals the individual ports to prevent water from leaking between valve settings. When this gasket wears out, you’ll notice dirty water returning to the pool during backwash, or water going to waste when set to filter. It’s one of the most common causes of a multiport valve not working properly — and one of the cheapest fixes.

Installation

Remove the valve head from the valve body, pull out the old gasket, clean the seating area, and press the new gasket into place. Make sure each spoke of the gasket aligns correctly with the port channels. Reassemble and test. No special tools required.
