Just Chlor J100 Standard Salt Chlorinator – Pools up to 60,000L

The Just Chlor J100 Standard is a complete salt chlorinator for pools up to 60,000 litres. It produces chlorine from the salt dissolved in your pool water, so you no longer need to buy, store and dose bulk chlorine every week. The kit includes both the cell and the controller, ready for installation on your pool plumbing.

How the Just Chlor J100 Standard Works

First, pool water flows through the cell while the pump runs. Next, the controller sends a low-voltage current through the coated titanium plates inside the cell. This current splits the dissolved salt and releases chlorine into the water. After the chlorine sanitises the pool, it turns back into salt, so the cycle repeats. As a result, you only top up salt when you lose water through backwashing, splash-out or rain.

Standard vs Self-Cleaning

The J100 Standard uses unidirectional plates. In other words, it does not reverse polarity to shed scale, so the cell needs regular manual cleaning. To clean it, soak the cell in a 1:10 acid solution until the calcium deposits dissolve, then rinse it well. If you prefer less maintenance, the Just Chlor J100 Self-Cleaning Chlorinator reverses polarity automatically. However, the standard model offers a lower upfront cost for owners who are happy to clean the cell themselves.

Getting the Best From Your Just Chlor J100 Standard

Keep the salt level at a minimum of 6,000ppm, and test it regularly. Our Aqua Max 25kg Pool Salt is ideal for filling and topping up. In addition, Waterwell Electrode Cleanse helps keep the plates clean between services. When the plate coating eventually wears out, the J100 Standard replacement cell restores full output without replacing the whole unit. For larger pools, the Just Chlor J200 Standard handles up to 100,000 litres. Alternatively, browse our full salt chlorinator range.
